Studio 43
Dunkirk, France
2023 Cultural
The Studio 43 studies and works program includes the upgrading of public reception areas, the replacement of air handling units with the latest generation heat pumps and the creation of a training space for the realization of movie.
Taking advantage of the operationalization of an unfurnished room, the project immediately moved towards the creation of a modular room, a cinema room and film set, and mezzanine spaces for workshops.
This room is fitted out with two sets of stands facing each other around a central space, accommodating a cinema screen or a studio with a green background, for image capture, both configurations being foldable.
Room controls placed behind the two sets of stands further expand the range of possibilities for audio-visual activities: video game mediations, dubbing, pod-casts, face-to-face meetings, video conferences on the scale of a room, artistic performances, with recordings, as well as numerous future projects in image education. This is a real increase in the potential for possible uses of the cinema room which is offered to the public.
In reference to the colorful atmospheres of Wes Anderson, the hall is an explosion of colors, bright, a patchwork and soft floor, wooden furniture, seats, the creation of a bar to exchange before or after cinema screenings , a new meeting point with film crews, welcoming groups, extending the cinema experience through exchanges between spectators.
